FAQ's for Teachers

The VBTA will impact teachers, students, and scientists. The following are some FAQ’s for teachers, students, and scientist.

Q. How do I get involved in VBTA?

A. Teachers are automatically members of VBTA when they attend the Spring Conference or the Fall Meeting.  Additional ways to become members include be a part of the TEI summer intensive programs or by completing the online application.

Q. Do I have to pay or is there a fee to receive the professional development training or become a member of the Academy? 

A. There is no fee to participate in the program.  The program is supported and funded through the generosity of the Voelckers and the Voelcker fund.

Q.  What is required of the teachers as members of the Voelcker Biosciences Teacher Academy?

A.  Teachers are asked to become fully participating members by attending VBTA functions and contributing to its success.  There are many opportunities to increase professionalism and offer input by sharing experiences, problem solving, and creating solutions to issues facing teachers today.  Teachers are expected to take advantage of networking with other VBTA members.
